Project being least supportive.
I joined TCS as fresher after doing graduation in BSc. Even after mentioning in form at first place that my parents are dependent on me still got gift city location which is in developing phase with worst level of transportation facilities. So I told my manager either release me, or provide cab facility or let me work from my nearest work location as I am not able to work from such expensive place. But he told me don't expect anything from me either connect with RMG or HR. Didn't got any relevant answers from any of them so I continued to work from there rather than creating issues.
After joining within four months a realise that my laptop is having some issues like lan cable disconnects sometimes,battery draining fast, sometimes fingure print tab doesn't work so raised tickets several times didn't got any resolution they just says that all you need to do is fix it a bit. But after raising tickets 6-7 times I said please call dell engineer and let him find what's going on. He said there is some liquid spillage and would cost around 15k. So I told my manager to atleast help me with this so straight forward denied.
Now I am already stuck in this location, my project not even giving me VPN access to work from any other location as project raised static IP. Got C band even after working there for 9.5 hour. He denied to resolve my laptop issue. I don't know what to do?
So sorry to hear what you have been going through. Stay strong, you'll be way past this current situation in no time. Here are my tips
- Don't communicate anything with your Manager/HR/RMG verbally or in teams. Always drop a mail for whatever issues you are facing.
- Always keep Delivery Manager in CC whenever you are sending such mails to your manager
- For any infra related issues also keep your manager and DM in CC for mail communications
- Have crystal clear communication with Manager and DM on mail and ask them they reason for not releasing from the project.
- If nothing works out. Just send a mail to your manager, dm, hr stating that current working condition is affecting your mental health, if possible, attach a medical document with it.
