Because he is a professional and is not influenced by his personal emotions. In the workplace you need to understand that nothing is ever personal. We are all paid here by the same company for the value our work delivers. I have seen many such posts of yours where you have described how you don't get along with your manager and team mates. Try looking at the situation from another perspective instead.

I just find it funny how so many people comment on my manager post but not on the posts I ask for genuine help that just shows people don't actually care unless it's drama

He might be considering you like a buddy. Things are only enjoyable when there is something/someone to fight for. If everything goes well and smoothly, there might be nothing enjoyable to him.

You're still in the project because your manager sees value in your skills and wants to leverage them. It's not about the fight; it's about getting the job done.

Maybe this is his style of revenge. He wants to control you, make you suffer and slog for long hours everyday. Control your appraisal. Don't want to give enough time to improve and learn. This is reverse psychology.
