Project allocation without consent

Hi, I was in free pool recently. I attended a project call and they selected me(let's call this project A). By the time they allot me to their project another project(let's call this project B) allotted me without my consent. Now the project B manager is asking me to work in their project. I don't like the role in project B. They are threatening me with RMG and HR that they will escalate. Please suggest what I could do and also what they could do if I don't work in project B.

Did the RMG Person or HR reached out to you?? Or the Project B Manager only threatening?

You can decline that project in Tmp then ask other manager to tag you asap

You can decline the project if it is not the one you are hired for or it is not in line with your skill set. Try to talk to your RMG manager if he/she is not agreeing you can decline and ask to talk to HR, HR will probably be able to help. If HR is also not helping, you can raise a grievance from gess-employees concerns- grievance by selecting the appropriate reason and wait to get it solved.

I too faced the same but the grievance redressal team was able to help me out with this.

Hope it helps!

Call Manager B & say you have given your consent to Manager A before you have allocated me in the project. share the same over the e-mail saying that all my skill sets are matching with project A and to contribute effectively in project B will be tough. Discuss the first with Manager then RMG & later with HR.

Don't start working with the project B & if you start working there then you will not get released.

It happened to me too. You politely request project B. They might consider that. I didn't do the same and it worked for me. Moreover if you didn't give written consent, you should be in a safe zone.

Same thing happened with me. Start a mail trail and put all of project B he rmg along with their supervisor in cc. And whatever conversation is there should happen officially in mail.

Yes ,also they will try to reach out to you on teams call and discuss there but be promt enough to write back all the points discussed on the call under the tab as discussed and send it to all respective stake holders

See brother they can't do anything if you don't like the role then never accept that role and never work on it. I guess your project B is the production support or cybersecurity project. They will esclate you toh HR for work but they can't cut your salary even for a single day. So continue to go to office and never accpet this project B

This thing is normal in this organization especially if you are a fresher

Only one option resign the role( company) & search another job

Same thing happened to me , I had to go to project B so I worked a few months not working up to mark so they released me due to budget constraints then allocated to new one.
