Trending @Infosys; Project allocation
Hi All,
I joined Infosys on 14th October 2025 as a lateral hire with experience in digital marketing development. Since joining, I spent the initial three months on bench, followed by a brief stint in pre-production and training. Recently, my status has reverted to "bench" again, and it has now been seven months without project allocation.
Despite actively reaching out to multiple managers and expressing my interest, I have not received any opportunities or responses. This situation is concerning, as I am eager to contribute and work on a project. I would like to understand if there is any policy related to silent layoffs for employees on extended bench, as I have made sincere efforts without success.
I would really appreciate your guidance or suggestions on how to proceed.
Thanks.

Is probation period increased or they confirmed?

You can go to project demands in learning and career and try reaching out to people for projects matching your role
consider these 3 extended probation months as last opportunity .. after this , they will terminate . use these months to skill up and prepare for another job

You have to keep in touch with your BHR and the reporting manager and keep updating your skillsets in profile to get project interview calls

i was on the bench for more than 18 months. but didn't get any mail from TPD for project allocation. so please try to apply for IJP if you are eligible or reach out to your friend for reference in their project.

Its better time to switch as Infy is lacking project grabbing from client

Two days back I got to read a post of someone working in Infy - he was made to force resign after a month notice period because of being on bench for longer duration. (Don't have much details further)
