Anyone can tell please!!

I joined as a resource in a project as a fresher, it's been 4-5 months I am billable but still I don't get any tickets or much task to solve.

I have been assigned a mentor but he is least bothered to give task. When I ask for call, he make excuses to run away. Sometime gives task.

Is this common as a fresher joined in a big project in CG?

I mean the pace of learning and working in the project is very slow. No one is least bothered.
