Programming Logic !

Hello everyone , I have always struggled with programming because my logic building skills were not good. My question is how to work on that ? I have few other questions too :

  1. Suppose I am not able to solve a problem , whenever I look into the solution at points I fail to understand their thought process . Is there anything that can be done ?

  2. Should I focus on building my own solutions rather than understand other peoples code ?
