Productivity is being hindered due to WFO
I joined this new company a few weeks ago. However, everyone on our team only comes to the office for 1 or 2 days, while those of us who joined recently are being asked to come in for 5 days, or at least 4 days, a week. I live very far away, and it takes me more than 1.5 hours to reach home.
Also, I have to stand the whole time during my commute, and by the time I reach home, I am so tired that I have no energy to open my laptop. I have been asked to go through some tutorials, but I just feel too exhausted.
The only reason I haven't communicated this to my manager is because I was aware of the expectations before joining, but I wasn't expecting it to be this difficult. Also, my manager is based in the US, while I am in India. I managed somehow during the first 2 weeks, but now it's becoming increasingly challenging. Should I approach my manager about this?

Weren’t you looking for a WhatsApp caption to “burn your friend’s friend to core” by flaunting your new job - a guy whose only fault was that he got a better paying job than you, which, mind you, he didn’t even tease you about.
Probably put your current plight as a Whasapp status for him to see 😂

I informed my manger about my situation and he said that those who are staying far away from the office can work remotely but he asked me to come 4 days a week for initial 1 month and later at least 2 days or whenever team is coming. So do you want me to put this as status? 😂

Also, why are you so triggered by my other post? Were you also lowballed just like my other friend?

Is there an option to shift nearby office for a few months(like a pg?)

@Humbled_engineer Rents are super high and makes no sense as I am living with my parents.

I mean you joined the firm on your own accord. And WFO office has always been a questionable stuff from my perspective for IT individuals atleast for the one's who are in India. We are just labourers working for US babus why bother coming to office to entertain washed out Indian managers?
Don't tell me collaboration, integration, synthetication, implementation and what not. IDC 😑 end of the day we do it alone.
