Product Casestudies submission

To the product folks who hire - what expectations do you have from the case study rounds?

When you look at someone's submission - what are the criteria that make you feel it's excellent/good?

Some deal breaking/sealing points acc. to you?

Depth of the research is the key factor. Is the submission just a superficial documentation or have you gone in depth of the problem statement and considered main and edge cases etc. Have you thought of assumptions and limiting factors.

+1 to the points above. I'll also add that it is a red flag if assumptions made are baseless and done without any reason. Also, if candidates are not asking questions and directly jump into getting the assignment done.

Like it was mentioned above depth is definitely a factor.

Additionally, I would like to see an applicant approach the case study and focus on identifying and expounding on the problem statement more and lesser on the solution! Too many individuals get fixated with the solution
