PROD support or switch to Data Engineer

I really need an honest suggestion. I have total 4.5 YOE , passed from a good college and had Btech degree in IT . But unfortunately I have been put into a production support role from the very start of the career which involves minimal coding java and a wide range of automations done by me . But from last 1.5 yr I have been supporting azure data engineering project where I have learnt Azure synapse , pyspark , snowflake. I do bug fixes here and have a decent understanding of the project, and also do prod releases along with solving day to day user queries which revolves around data inconsistent, missing , failures etc .

I am thinking to switch to azure data engineer role, will it be a good decision or I should use my product support expertise and look for job roles in that only . Currently I have 14 LPA CTC.
