Probably the most sensible take on the recent Indian startups debate

Yes, makes sense. The problem is more at Govt side- regulations, investing in R&D, facilitating the do-gooders. The minister conveniently ignored Govt’s fault while berating the entrepreneurs. If all the startup founders and entrepreneurs start telling him the troubles caused by Govt, he will have nowhere to hide!

I hear it so many times!!! Government Investment in R&D - which I feel is correct but is too much insisted on.
Have you ever went to a Goverment college? PhD people gets 35k + Research Opportunity + Projects + Stay + Food - what not?? And what they do??? Focus on finishing thesis - that too not because they wanted to, but because they want the "PhD" designation!!! They just don't show enough. Go to any PhD people, and talk - they won't know anything outside their project.
Not talking about every PhD holders, nor all colleges. So while I agree invest in R&D, I also like to see people actually putting efforts.
