Pressuring work culture

I'm working in tcs from past 1.8 years.was put in project it has a lot exposure in techlogies. After put in the module got to know that my module was already went an production it means live there is no much development work. But still has some fixing and code was written in spring boot java. Has I know very less about java but eager to learn the technology. So working in the same module nd Support role ( but tagged to developer role )thinking I'll get some development work at one point I in the other there were facing Support resources crunch.so they ask me to support this module but I denied to it saying that I was working Support role from the past year so won't be taking this anymore. My manager was clever he convinced me me to take up but I denied. At the end he assigned me development work ( I was so happy that I'll be learning something good ) but whst happend is the module which they have me is the worst module in our project I was facing difficult to do the task , faced lot of issue and pressurized . Then at last he(manager) said do continue with previous module work. I was asking them time to just cope of with the things but they were so rude. It feels that I didn't learn anything. Not able to unskill also Kindly Suggest me what can I do should I ask release and take up any other project...
