Preparation tips for 1 yr exp. person to switch to FAANG

Right now I have less than 1 year of experience and I'm planning to start my preparation for a switch after I complete a year. So, what are all the things that are expected from 1 year experienced person (apart from dsa, core subject knowledge and the domain you are currently working on) in order to get into companies like Google, microsoft?

P.S. For me work life balance matters a lot. So, if anyone has any suggestions regarding the companies to switch to, it would be great.
