Pre bgv for Capgemini

Capgemini sent out an e-mail for L1 bgv. Why is that?

I attended the first round and after that didn't contact me either. Directly I got this mail

After 1st round, if you’re getting Capgemini bgv process mail, then I think they’re considering you for the job. Don’t stress and accept the mail, if you haven’t done it already. The background verification team would simply cross check the details that you’ve put on your resume. They might contact your school, college and even the company where you’ve previously worked in. That’s it.

Yes, many times, companies do background verification after the first round of interviews itself. There’s nothing that you need to worry about in Capgemini background verification. They just want to be sure before moving ahead to the next round.

I don’t know if Capgemini bgv process is any different than background verification process in other organizations. The company that I’m working in currently also did a background verification on me and contacted my school, university and my previous employer. Wahan bhi kya yahi hota hai?

A friend of mine has also got the same then he contacted the recruiter for some of the queries he had.

When he told me about this I was also surprised but it seems like the company wants to know the candidate is genuine before even proceeding for L2.

Cost wise this might seem more expensive for the company but it seems it would still be better for them than the cost of hiring a non-genuine candidate and finding about it later.
