Trending @Cognizant; P(Programmer) to Associate Promotion
I joined Cognizant as a PT(Programmer Trainee) role in February 2023 after completing a three-year graduation. After one year, I received a default 4 rating With designation" Programmer ". In the second year, I worked with billability for one year, but I was released from the project. After that, I was on the bench from December 2024 to March 2025 for three months and received a 2 rating in my second year. I got another project in March 2025 and received an email regarding a 'compensation update' in April 2025. I am confused about whether I can become an associate in August 2025, as I will have completed 30 months by then
After 2 years only u will get
PT-P --> 1 Year
P- PA --> 1 Year
PA - A --> 2 Years (To be eligible)
So Minimum time will be 4 years to become Associate from PT level and rest depends on ratings, billability, RTO

The hierarchy is P to PA then PA to A.. so yu need to be promoted to PA to get A promotion
