Postman for API testing - worth the hype? What are your go-to dev tools?

How is postman for api testing. anyone else using it? what r ur go-to tools for boosting dev experience? i've heard postman's collab features r pretty cool, but wanna hear from u guys. do u use jmeter or soapui too? or maybe somethin else entirely?
