Poor luck + Mistakes
1 year post graduating from Journalism and Media Studies ( a wrong degree, I was never passionate for journalism, i was interested in media production)
I had 1 media internship experience before graduating, which went really well.
After graduating, I was looking for fresher roles in - but found out, no one hires fresh grads. My friends were applying for internships, so did I. Wasn’t getting any and was emotionally upset. A family contact connected me to a producer in a production company in Bangalore, and I joined in 1.5 months time.
1st internship : I was put on post production where I struggled + company didn’t have projects for 3 months. I tried to give my best, but I was barely able to learn anything or gain enough experience.
3 months later
2nd internship : gave it my all in 3 months, everyone in the office appreciated me. Didn’t convert because of no support from top management with regard to my team, and my team got shut for cost cutting. My teammates became my only friends in Bangalore.
1 month later
I got 1st job, which barely lasted a month before being layed off because company was re-structuring.
Some things weren’t in my control with regards to where I’m today.
Some were in mine - i wasn’t sure what i want to do, not applying aggressive, not pitching to people or networking, and choosing the wrong degree 4 years ago .

Thanks for sharing your story mate! All the best to you and I am sure its going to be awesome !
