I noticed that leadership reached out to me directly asking how I’m doing, how the project is progressing, and what’s going on. Later, I heard they mentioned to my manager that I said we don’t have much work — which wasn’t the context of my discussion. I feel there’s some internal politics around this, and I’m also trying to understand why leadership approached me directly instead of going through my manager. I’m wondering if this could be an indication that they’re assessing or considering a change in management.

They may question ur manager. They not assessing u .they assessing ur mgr work. Maybe some story is cooked on that level and they verfifyinv

Yeah, I understand that. But today it’s my manager, and tomorrow it could be anyone, right? What I’m not liking is the way things are happening. They hired me through him, and now they’re letting him go — isn’t that ethically wrong? At the very least, they could have hired me through some other channel. I’m feeling bad because I’ve somehow become the center of all this, even though I have nothing to do with it. Do you think I should just stop feeling bad about it?
