I also faced similar situation. My manager was not ready to release me. I was frustrated so I stopped working on any tasks, stopped attending standup calls, which caused delays in completing tasks. I think, Later my team members informed my manager how they are getting burdened.
Finally I was released 🙌 😌.

Apply ijp, reach out to hiring manager, rmg team, if none of these work internally, look outside opportunities

Ijp is biggest scam in capgemini. Dont rely on it, start networking that always work

There are so many IJP emails. There are a lot of openings in development. Start applying. No manager can stop you from moving out of the project if you have completed 18 months. The notice period is 45 days and your manager cannot hold you. But first get selected for internal project

They will ask qualified candidates to identify their replacement first. How to do that?

First preference is to leave Capgemini. Next, look for IJP. If you're selected then no one is supposed to stop you ideally.
