PM work benchmarking

Product managers 🚀: Post PRD handover, how hands-on are you during releases? How much of your quarterly time is spent on tasks like feature management, bug fixes, and testing, which could also be handled by engineering managers?

And how does that compare to time spent on problem-solving, prioritization, roadmapping, product marketing, design, research, and analytics? 🤔

Very hands-on - Drive every release
Moderately involved - Daily updates to resolve blockers
Little involvement - Quick pre-release review
Not involved in the release

I see this as a PM job, they have to deliver the product end to end and therefore I can not just oversee it but make sure everything is going great.

Also, I guess apart from the above-mentioned, more important is how can I announce it to the right set of users, push them to use/engage and so on.

Usually product development involves multiple teams and goes beyond single EM control.

only get involved in case of a blocker. Else it is EMs job to drive it.
