PM to PE/VC to PM

Given someone had a previous Product Mangement experience, how easy or difficult is it for them to switch back to tier 1 product companies, after spending a couple of years in PE/VC?

If college is good then it's quite easy otherwise it will require a lot of effort. In these cases the best is to go and work with one of the portfolio companies
