Please suggest the fastest ways to get released from a project.

I have been working on a project for the last 2 years in technology which is far away from my aspirations. It's very difficult for me to get a release as I have a huge dependency. Please suggest any way to get released. Thanks.

Learn to be expressive even if you have not done anything. Eventually management started noticing it and have a pressure from higher management and plan to move to some other projects.

That you are working hard on it. That's the way everything works here. Schedule a meeting and talk on something just to show that you are on it but you know that you are doing nothing. Observe your surroundings you will get what I am saying.
