Please help me to know if there is any law in the favour of employees?
I have completed 5 years 5 Months in TCS still not yet promoted to C2. My few batchmates got promotion, few juniors as well got it. I have A, B, A, B,A corresponding 5 years band. Promotion is only getting to the favourite employees of the managers. What should I do? Is there any law for employees? Or can I complain about the same to some higher authority? I tried talking to the manger, he lies every time. He doesn't even say clearly no, if it is not going to happen.

How did you got A band so many times if your manager does not favour you.
I did not get A even once even if I got 4.5 rating
Based on performance, I got A but for promotion there is quota like if 64 employees are eligible for promotion the manager will prepare a list with rank, first 8-9 employees only will get promotion
Find out your unit HR, and the manager who they report to.. address an email to just both, letting them know your bands and YOE, write polite email seeking clarification why you didn’t get promotion. I hv done this myself, trust me they responded. It’s okay to skip hierarchies.
All corporate politics. Better to change company if you need a hike. Even promotion won't provide much hike.

Same happened with me. I left the organisation. Leave this toxic company. It’ll not lead you to anywhere

Switch the company, you will not get anything after your promotion.
I am facing the same problem…manager always lied to me and told me various criteria…I don’t think so anyone would be able to help out …very frustrating situation right now
