Planning to resign

I am a manual test lead with nearly 15 yoe. I am highly stressed because of the client whose expectation is to support throughout the day and TCS management is not supporting properly on this. This is taking toll on my mental health. My current CTC is only 13.8. I am planning to resign and look for the jobs. As the notice period is 90 days, not getting any calls. Any suggestions please.

Get an offer and resign, meanwhile continue to look for opportunities.
At some point of time, the notice period will be 2 months .. 1 month after you resign.

Take that leap of faith. If nothing works out, you can always take the resignation back.

First and foremost, keep a track of evidence of the stress you are going through and highlight it to the management.

Maybe visit a psychologist and get a note from them as well on the same.

If you have made up your mind to leave the organisation still after that do take the leap of faith and put in your papers.

I will be honest idk, why people say get a job then put in your papers but doing it twice and helping colleagues navigate this I think I am qualified to answer the jumping ship reality.

Rn job market is bad but for really good genuine talent there is demand and the chance of being retained (especially if you are project critical). But either way 90 days NP is a big turn off for companies.

What makes it worse is people who aren't serving their NP. From another organisations PoV they want immediate joiners. Not people joining in 90 days. So if you haven't put in your papers and expect them to wait 90 days it doesn't work like that nor is it fair. We might cling on to the safety net but good things come only when we get out of our comfort zone.

Companies do wait for in some cases but those are for those niche highly talented individuals who are really good at what they do or they work on something majority of the people are not aware of. In my experience I have only had the honor of working with one such individual but it was evident why the company was willing to wait 90 days for him cause his brains were insanely good. But lets accept reality not all of us have reached that level yet. So we need to take a gamble.

Last but not the least mental health and physical health is highly co related. Work stress can easily ruin everything. So no stress is worth it. Take the gamble put in papers and then try again.

Reach out to head hunters and they should highlight the same. The 90 days NP is the real killer.
