PIP Process in TCS

Hi All, what's TCS policy on PIP. I have a friend who's forcibly thrown into PIP by his previous service lead/project manage.

I want to know what if someone on PIP put down papers / resigns? Wanted to know he will be serving notice period for 3 months ya he will be terminated/released immediately.

HR said ki post pip exam will be conducted if he manages to pass the exam he will continue the TCS. Else will be terminated and as per training he's not getting any support from the trainer ( AWS they re training like really? ) he just wanted to make sure his BGC is not impacted for future job perspective

He has just 1.5 yrs of experience.. requesting all from this community to help with any possibile ways... It will be a great help
