PIP or Resign ?

Tomorrow I have a discussion with manager and HR regarding 2 options. Btw, I have NI rating in last cycle due which the discussion is there also I am on bench since 13 months. I had took voluntary release from my earlier project. Now option 1 is to take 5 months of advance pay and resign tomorrow. This will provide me a normal relieving letter mentioning that i already served my notice period and tomorrow is my last working day. Option 2 is to choose for PIP where I have to be at office for 9.5 ours daily, i have achieve specific goals provided by them and then it will be organisation’s decision to continue with me or to terminate. I have started to look for jobs outside but as I am not much prepared, i will need 2-3 months or may be more to get a new job. Idk how much time it will take. I have 2 years and 9 months experience at infosys, I joined as fresher. I am learning Palo alto firewalls and network security is my domain.

Please suggest me with your best opinion on this, thanks.

Option 1 is your lifetime opportunity.

I would strongly recommend going with Option 1 – it seems like the clear choice. That said, I’m a bit surprised that after spending 13 months on the bench, you’re still feeling unprepared and think you’ll need another 2–3 months to get ready for interviews. It feels a little unusual, to be honest

To be honest, I just had fun while on bench and did not learn or prepare for anything properly.

I was also put on pip as of now it's been a week.. they have given me few certifications to complete.. but I'm not ready for a job shift because in next 2 months I'll be going on a maternity leave and during this time I feel like I have to stay back here til my maternity and later apply for job.. but i wanted to know like what happens if I don't clear pip?? Will they pay me for 5 months and terminate from organization??

In 33 months of your service you have been on the bench for 13 months.
If you have any skill, you should resign - take money and find a good job.

If you have no or poor skills or you have a lazy carefree attitude you should go for pip, try to get your name cleared.
