Trending @Infosys; PIP or Resign ?
Tomorrow I have a discussion with manager and HR regarding 2 options. Btw, I have NI rating in last cycle due which the discussion is there also I am on bench since 13 months. I had took voluntary release from my earlier project. Now option 1 is to take 5 months of advance pay and resign tomorrow. This will provide me a normal relieving letter mentioning that i already served my notice period and tomorrow is my last working day. Option 2 is to choose for PIP where I have to be at office for 9.5 ours daily, i have achieve specific goals provided by them and then it will be organisation’s decision to continue with me or to terminate. I have started to look for jobs outside but as I am not much prepared, i will need 2-3 months or may be more to get a new job. Idk how much time it will take. I have 2 years and 9 months experience at infosys, I joined as fresher. I am learning Palo alto firewalls and network security is my domain.
Please provide me with ur valuable suggestions, thanks.

Take 1
In 2 they can use any excuse to fire u ,like u did not meet hours criteria or anything small enough,u can give u best yet they will sneak in something and terminate u ,dont risk it
Just take 5 month pay, prepare ,even if it takes 2-3 months u can tell that u took break due to health reasons and u did not have any option but take it as health issue was serious and needed rest

I don't see any confusion here, anyone would choose salary + no np, as you can join any organization with a hike of atleast 30% and then also getting salary of 5months so its a win , win from both sides for you.
But if a person is that capable of getting another job so easily then why will he or she be in PIP?

No brainer! Go for Option 1

Same with me. I resigned with 5 months salary. Final settlement is awaiting.

Don't get me wrong, any reason why you got pip. Plz do let know whether it's not performing or solely because you were on bench

Option 1

If there is a high demand for your skills and you're receiving interview calls daily, you can consider resigning as early as tomorrow.
However, if you are unsure about the current job market, it is better not to resign.
Also, keep in mind that if you are currently on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP), you must complete all assigned tasks and certifications. Failing to do so may result in termination without any advance notice or severance pay
This is just my personal opinion — please make sure to take advice from others as well before making any final decision
