Hi, I have been asked by my manager to produce a springboot certificate as my PIP task.

Will this be an in-office assessment or I can give it remotely?

Don't do anything. Just wait, u will get a call to meet with ur HR. They will ask u do voluntary resignation by giving 5 months full salary if u got NI rating. If u got UP rating, then 4 mnths salary. If u fail in PIP, then u will be terminated and it will effect you ur bgv with other companies. Just today, till 12:30 pm, nearly 20 employees who got NI and UP ratings got terminated.
