PIP fails at Microsoft? Will mention in revealing letter

My manager decided to odd out from the team and kept me in PIP without considering any good work that I have contributed.

Mentally decided and started preparing for interviews within PIP period to keep resignation. In the least if manager mark PIP failed? Will HR mention in revealing letter?

Generally they will not mention but in references if you give your managers name they may ask him . Also depends on the company you join
