Trending @Accenture; PIP’d Out of Nowhere: Impossible Tasks, No Support—What’s My Next Move?
Joined a project 5 months ago outside my primary skill, thinking I’d adapt. Small team of 3-4, even the TL is new. Only one experienced guy, but he’s swamped—no support. Manager had one feedback call ages ago, then blindsided me with a PIP via HR. No 1:1, no guidance. HR says complete PIP, then maybe roll-off if management agrees, while I hunt for projects. Thing is, I’ve got stellar feedback from past projects—won a Pinnacle Award last year! PIP tasks? Impossible, stuff I’ve never touched. The manager isn't even providing docs. Escalated to senior manager—same stance. TL called me personally, said she told the manager not to PIP me, but was ignored. She says fight it, but she’ll back management if push comes to shove. Feel stuck—any advice or suggestions?

Raise grievance and fight for it. Management will say that this stuff will end in only conversations and will go round and round but I say if you have enough evidence , escalate it till the neutral panel

On AST tool? Do you think anything good will come out of it?

Yea in AST tool. Yes, your outcome will change if you have sufficient evidences like you were not given any feedback, had appreciations etc . The levels 1,2 will definitely try to demotivate you and say all stuff but be rigid and escalate it till level 3. Level 1,2 will be from project who gave you pip but level 3 will be a neutral panel not connected with any of the projects, they will do the investigation independently

I heard that upper management has advised project managers to put at least one of the resource in PIP. I think this is happening for the projects which are having some budget issues. I feel your manager has targeted you and you won’t get any hike. Check on performance portal what feedback he gave you and if possible collect all the work evidences against the point he mentioned in the feedback. You can showcase this to HR. If you don’t want to get into all this you have to go through PIP. What I suspect is you might not get hike in the current cycle. That is the major concern.

Wonder why it's always the manager's fault when someone goes into PIP🤔

Because they have to cut the budget for a year somehow. This is the usual way for them.
1 year no hike no variable pay means it’s a cost cutting for the project. That turns out to be favourable for the project.

What happens generally is pip?. If we cannot clear the pip successfully, will they terminate and write about this pip.somewhere which can hamper future job prospects?

I have also got a negative feedback looping till senior managers and its updated in workday. And my lead told that is PIP initiation...post this where will get updated like in any portal that we are in PIP or will hr say this?
