Picking up a niche at 2YOE - is this good for long term?

Hey folks, I have an offer for SDE2- Python role from an OTT company. It's in video processing. While I don't have a long term goal of what field I wanna work on, I want my skills to be transferable.

Should I take this up, or stick to my current role which is in a GEN AI startup(complex wrapper product)?

Okay, congrats! Gen AI is just hype and as you said its just a wrapper, better to learn niche domain. You can always switch back to generic webdev or rest easily, but hard to do the opposite

My 2 cents:

I would suggest you take it. Gen AI would be there too! Plus you'll get to learn new things in which you can utilise your Gen AI knowledge.

You'll gain new architecture knowledge of how things are done here. What to do to achieve this is in future you wanna make something big!
