PF can be reduced from 12% to 1800 as per EPFO?

I am changing my regime this year and don’t want to continue to invest 12+12% of my basic but my organisation is not allowing it, is this possible as per EPFO and has anyone did this in past in their organisation.

I believe the PF contributions cannot be reduced, so if you are contributing 12% you won't be allowed to reduce it to 1800 as long as you are in Accenture

Haven't been allowed by any of my employers yet. But don't know the rule completely.
