Anyone here who likes the challenge of going almost broke at starting of the month? After payment of rent, bills and most bigger expenses, I hardly keep 10K with me. I have credit card for any unforseen expenses however I keep my debit line free of any incoming expense. Anyone here who does the same?

Same here, but not sure whether I call it being broke. One rule I strictly follow is "Use your credit card like a debit card." I only spend the money using CC that's there in my bank account as a balance at that time. In a way it should be like your debit card is earning you reward points and lounge access and nothing more!

Yeah but the only concern I have is the credit limit is too high so if we dont keep a vigilant eye on the spends you will easily cross your monthly expense limits. Banks keep increasing the credit line compounding the problem

I get your point. I don't even consider the credit limit part in this. They keep increasing like there's no end. Just like you, I keep a minimum balance after all the bills, expenses, savings, etc., and use my CC to spends limited only to that remaining balance. Keeping your example, I would spend only 10k using my credit card since I have only 10k in my account. I meant that :)

Awesome. Good to see people responsible with their money and like to go with austerity
