People with bad negotiation skills

I am wondering if people with bad negotiation skills avoid going to brick and mortar stores? I do, just to avoid sales people. But in cases where I have to visit such stores, I always come back with drained mental energy and unnecessary overthinking ( I tend to take it personal which is one of the reason I don’t have good negotiation skills).

How do you overcome from such situation?
