People who have been laid off, how severely are you getting undercut from a new company

I’m talking to recruiters who are reaching out for roles in Edtech(non tech), either they are under cutting the salary severely or say the salary is very high. Is this happening to anyone, YOE: 5, 17L. Disc- not complaining, just curious
