People who got retained after salary match, how do they structure the increment?

This question is for people here who have been retained by TCS and you accepted the retention or maybe even rejected it. I am just curious to know how they usually structure the increment part in your new salary. Is it like usually distributed between all the things like the bouquet of benefits, basic, variable pay or they just put everything in variable pay and sometime even hold some money until an year or so and pay later. Would appreciate if someone can comment and let me know.

Long story short, been retained twice and current retention procedure is shite. This time leaving for good.

They are willing to match offer for exceptional talent or negotiate and agree upto max 70 to 80% but there is a catch the whole amount goes to VP and Retention bonus. Which is pointless.

I will create a detailed post on it soon and share it here.

Retention bonus is paid after 2 years? Will that be part of ctc afterwards?

Employees under retention may also not be considered for promotion cycles or normal appraisal processes, which many feel is unfair. Till when they are not considered throughout?
