People on bench are getting fired ??? Is it true ???
I read a post saying they’ve fired people in Hyderabad who were on bench is this true ?
Problem people enjoying bench for long time are forced to get into project within some days else they are being forced to resign. They won't get experience letter if they are terminated , so they are asked to self resign.
Termination is still quite rare as it impacts their image.. instead, they would ask to resign by your end..But nowadays the employees themselves are resigning because of system which has been become more messed up compared to before and now...No hikes in current appraisal.. Disgusting
No, they won't do it directly but instead they will create a situation in such a way that will leave no other option than resigning from the same from your end...As direct firing will impact their brand value that's why...

What's the point in being on bench for more than "x" months ?
Bcz of those, all others get pennies in hikes and promotions
You are wrong , hikes have nothing to do with that. Look at revenue buddy, it is just that they are not interested in giving money to employees.
People on bench for a reason. If TCS got any new customer project they need people so it's very common practice to keep people on bench. TCS won't ask to resign unless the associate doesn't have deployable skills and in bench for long time
However there is no specific Bench policy present in TCS so we can't predict what will happen but it's better for now to get into the project assp
