People full of themselves

Have anyone seen people full of themselves. I know a person who is full of himself, always talk like as if he is performing or giving interview.

Always talk like he knows everything, only he works, he only has technical knowledge.

He doesn’t allow to talk anyone else.

I dont find any way to ignore and avoid this person

How you guys deal?? Anyone came across with such kind of person?

he performs because he's terrified you'll all realize he's just as lost as everyone else. this isn't a battle of wits you need to win. you just have to stop buying a ticket to his show.

Yes. I avoid them if avoidable (i.e. if they are not your colleague or manager), like actively avoid them. I run away. Keep 2x safe distance, even go at lengths to trick myself into thinking they don't exist for me. I start thinking anything they do does not and will not affect me.

Some people are just like that. No matter what you do, they never change. So you just distance yourself from them.

Now if it's an immediate family member then all you can do is try and hope they change but if it's not then you can always distance yourself and live your life peacefully and forget about them real quick.

Bombard him with basic questions, ask for expert reviews on every minor task, and act like you can't breathe without his technical guidance.
Eventually, he’ll get so annoyed with the constant hand-holding that he’ll start running the other way when he sees you coming. 💀

As far as I feel he might had some trauma in his past as such he might feel insecure that he might been overlooked and raise the feeling of isolation so if you can avoid criticism and support as far as you can if possible motivate them towards change…. Through your support…
