कबीर दास जी का दोहा है, "दुःख में सुमिरन सब करे सुख में करै न कोय। जो सुख में सुमिरन करे दुःख काहे को होय". I hope you understand, otherwise Google the meaning. Meanwhile , don't force your aethist personality on others. You don't believe ? Good for you. This requires belief and knowledge which surpasses your so-called sde/pm wisdom.

show me where and what I "forced"

How is He a higher power when you are to blame Him? Once you accept the good and bad, you’ll see everything as a blessing from him. You’ll begin to see how it is good for the long run and it was meant to happen.

I believe in god because to me, knowing that there's someone always there with me and looking after me brings comfort. If things go wrong, this belief acts as a form of moral support. If things turn out how I want them to be, god is the first person I thank. I understand I might sound naive or idiotic but that's just how I think. It's perfectly fine for someone to not believe in god because at the end of the day, it's your own efforts that make things happen!
