The situation is very sad actually. Even I have been recently working nearly 12+ hours(excluding lunch, tea, toilet breaks) from last 3-4 months just to ensure I don't get pip. And now I have got very badly burnt out. Like my BP has shot up, don't get proper sleep in night, getting anxiety attacks continuously, don't talk properly to my parents, scolding them to vent out my frustration. I am not sure if I should feel happy if I am given pip because i can't sustain this lifestyle anymore.
This happens to IT guys because we don't have any unions. Look in all the other type of jobs. The unity they have is incredible. If all the IT guys decide that we won't work more than 8 hours, whatever the situation might be, this problem of employees working on road will never come.
