Pathway for AI engineer

I am from a non technical background but interested in the field. Can someone please list out a path for me to learn and become an AI engineer. How much time will it take to learn from the best and from where. Also, I want to move to the US after this, so kindly list out a pathway for that as well. Thanks in advance.
