Passion died a long time ago

I remember the first time i saw a computer. It was in my school lab where we had to leave our slippers outside and go in(god knows why πŸ˜‚), It was love at first sight. It was a gateway to infinite possibilities. Fast forward 15 years. My laptop brings me depression and anxiety. It is now a gateway to infinite problems. Companies are riddled with politics and the employees are just living dead bodies. Passion died a long time ago. It is now just a means to an end.

I feel the same but it's not the laptop or coding that killed my passion.... I love to use computers and code, watch, tinker, build ... it's the people and meetings that killed my passion....

Given a choice if someone can pay me the same amount monthly to just build, I would just code...

Makes sense. This is why you avoid making a job out of your hobby. It does kills the fun out of it.

For me, signing up for a job that's not my hobby, rather my interest, has killed my passion. Like I don't want to show up at work, because what does it even mean!

Same experience here! We used to play Dangerous Dave and Road Rash in our computer lab. I was in 4th grade and fell in love with gaming that day and still game today. It’s been more than 2 decades of gaming now!

One thing that I understood from my experience is not to have expectations with things that could deeply affect us. I was passionate about xyz, now it's marred with abc, def... routine story. Remind yourself that it's not in your control. Just bother about what you can control/influence and try navigating accordingly. Good luck πŸ‘

That's life. I would suggest you to take a small break and go on a trip and explore. Stay close to nature and just live in that moment
