Trending @Cognizant; PA to A promotion vacancy depends on domain/practice?
My manager nominated me for PA to A promotion and then told me there are only 2 available seats for promotion in our practice so he doesn't know whether I will promote or not.
Is this correct?
They're all doing like this only! I had a connect with HR and she told me there are some criteria for the promotion, like 24 Months in a project etc etc. But it purely depends on your HM, whom he wants to nominate. Till now my manager is saying he didn't get any update regarding this which i think he's lying. A lot of politics here, i have been helping almost everyone in our project, even my senior (who are all mostly dumb) but still i never got recognised and got just 3 ratings. A guy who's working on L1.5 support got 4 ratings in my team just because he's south indian, and I'm only North indian in this team. This politics will ruin the team's work.
