Highly paid! Exp x 3 is thumb rule of being creamy layer in IT. Be happy with what you get, stop thinking that you are under paid.

Yeah true. However after the poll where almost 40% people mentioned I am underpaid, the feeling is underwhelming, not sure what I should aim for.

You aim for good health, better with life balance, and best knowledge, rest of best will follow.

It's good enough, i guess whoever is marking it as underpaid compared this with big tech swe roles.Compared to that it will be always underpaid as those tech skills have more value than any other skills like SAP,oracle etc. Compared to ITes it will be always overpaid, try for GCC's you might get more fixed in those companies.

What's GCC?

For a Big 4 Manager in SAP consulting, ₹40 LPA fixed is on the higher side of the market range in India. MBB firms (McKinsey, BCG, Bain) and Tier-1 consulting firms may offer slightly higher, but Big 4 firms are generally in this range.

Hmm, mark it as a big 4 only or service company only kinda voting. In product companies people are making 70l-1cr with that many years of experience. Hence, the underpaid votes I think. For the big 4, I think you're fairly paid.

Okay cool. I did mention big 4 manager in the poll and assumed people would consider that while voting. Thanks for the share.

Also, are there any product based companies which are paying 40+ in SAP technology?

This salary makes sense if you have a stock component as well. I’ve heard Google mets give X fixed + X stock. If you only have fixed then for a 10YOE it’s underpaid. Mid scale product companies might pay 60-70 for the same experience

There is no stock option in big4 but there is variable pay on top of this which is around 10-15% of this 40 LPA base. Furthermore, my query was specific to SAP module as I know for coders it is much more.

Delete the post and keep these kinds of things private. Because still many of us here haven't had good job/salary/company etc etc.

Sorry buddy that was not my intention, I just wanted to understand the market standards for my role and have an idea if I am being paid fairly. This post is not to boast. In fact, 40% people voted that I am underpaid so it certainly not for show off.
