Our Ancestors Were Geniuses—What Happened to Us? 😐
Sometimes I think, our ancestors in India, they were too good, no?
Building those big-big temples, writing Vedas, making Ayurveda—all without any college or computer.
So smart they were, like unbelievable only! Poetry, maths, science, music everything they knew. And speaking their language so nicely, not like us.
But us? We are just doing book study, cramming only, not understanding anything. In our own language we can’t speak properly, our hindi/regional language is also so bad.
Vedas? Ayurveda? Don’t even ask. No big temples we’re building now, no great things. Roads are so bad, health is so bad, corruption is everywhere.
Startups also just copy, no original thing. What’s this, yaar? They were doing such amazing things, we’re just sitting. They left us so much, Great-great legacy.
But we’re not keeping it up. Nobody is making those Marvelous Architecture now, nobody writing, singing like that.
Why do we become like this?I think we should look back a little bit. Not to copy them, but learn only.
How do they think, how they do so much with nothing?
We have phones, internet, everything now, but innovation has gone from India and those who really want to do something have left India already (for e.g. Perplexity AI)

Aur chalao phone

people focuses too much on comfort, unimportant things

People do not want to sacrifice their life. To innovate, to create something unique is to indulge yourself completely into it. Being lost in it. Sacrificing yourself for the betterment of others. No one wants that. Even if someone will start doing it, society will mock them, and will create hurdles for them. So eventually one would think innovate for what? We need scientific minds. All we have now are political minds, influenced and infected minds by marketing and social media.

They say children are the next generation of society.. and education that powers them has changed. Ancestors learned and taught useful things, and students backthen in gurkul learned it the better way, they were confident enough to lead an independent life post education.
Now, education teaches advanced, yet not many useful things.
Forget about sci, r&d. Our schools don't even teach survival skills like cooking and cleaning, basic home repairs which are bare minimum.
I don't want to be more clear, but as other people mentioned, it has become pure business.
They focus only on marks and ranks in order to attract more students for hefty amount of fees
Also, our ancestors had a lot to discover and invent
But, we have more to learn what they've done.. might be a reason, but not a good excuse ainnit??

Additionally teens to elders, all are addicted to reels & shorts. Attention span is less for everyone all around the world and creativity is spoiled

If only Indians were doing only farming, then india would have been great. Education is not education anymore it's pure business. Farmers byproducts are commercialized. 16 years of education only gives us knowledge about how to copy and write, how to mug up, how to hide report cards, how to lie. There's no freedom for children to choose what they like, instead the school insists on all activities and loot money. After 16 years, if someone has pure interest in something like coding for example, he masters the skills and escapes the job hunting group. But get stuck in a rat race. 1 out of 10 in the rat race has an entrepreneur's mind set but fails to take the first step. The probability of people creating something is very less. Everyone wants to have a safe career because of family commitments.
