Hi, I recently joined cognizant, I would like to know years of experience vs the designation and grades I keep hearing PA , A, SA, M Can someone describe it better?

In Cognizant, the typical mapping of designations to years of experience is:
PAT (Programmer Analyst Trainee) – 0 years, PA (Programmer Analyst) – 0 to 2 years,
A (Associate) – 2 to 5 years,
SA (Senior Associate) – 5 to 8 years,
M (Manager) – 8 to 12 years,
SM (Senior Manager) – 12 to 15 years,
AD (Associate Director) – 15+ years, and
D (Director) – 18+ years.
these ranges are not fixed. role changes do happen based on performance, domain, and project needs. Hope this helps clear things up!
