What should be the order of financial products to buy when you are just beginning your personal finance journey?

Like :

  1. PPF
  2. Gold scheme
  3. Index funds
  4. Term insurance
  5. Health insurance ... Etc.

Term insurance
Elss funds, if your epf doesn't cover entire 80c Then asset allocation: Emergency funds Index/active funds based on your risk appetite Physical gold. Plot / independent house (not a flat) Foreign stocks/funds.

I would suggest don't invest in vpf,nps,ppf,sgb. I don't like the concept of govt backed policies. They are here toe at your money.
