Is it compulsory to take optional holiday?
You have two groups. Each group has 2 holidays.
You can take 1 of them. If you don’t take, Infosys will not give you employee of the year award. Neither will they increase your salary.
It is optional because you’ve the option to take 1 of the 2 days as leave in each group. Take it, chill out.
It's not compulsory you have to take, but you will have an option to choose any two of four optional holiday. If you don't take them you won't even get compoff for those.
It's better to take them based on your requirements
Can we take optional holiday during notice period?
You can take as long as your client will let you bill for that day. If client doesn’t have holiday he will have no issue for you to work. Inform your manager as well.apply for comp off and on duty for that day you will be Credited with a leave. But make sure you have applied for comp off and on duty before day ends else won’t be possible.
Yes you have to take otherwise simply you will loose or lapse
