I heard that there are 2 optional holidays in a year and you can only take 1 optional holiday in each half of the year. Is that true? I mean if I want to take one optional holiday in October and one in december thats not allowed?

Yes, for shivratri in February, ponkala and Ramzan in March . And received a mail we can opt 2 out of these 3 optional holidays.

One optional holiday is allowed in a quarter But what they will do they will give two optional holiday in same quarter so that no one can apply that.

Ideally no. But if you have worked without availing optional holiday, apply compoff get it approved and then apply that compoff on the other optional holiday for which you are not eligible
