How can we take optional holiday (i saw we have 2option holidays every year )

I have taken a leave and as per the holiday list that day also has a floating holiday in my location. So is it required to inform manager or just to fill in myte ??

It's fine even if you don't inform your PL or manager, it just needs to fall under the criteria of optional holiday
