Opinion needed - WFH/WFO or Learning/Non Learning
"I'm currently working remotely as a Senior Software Engineer from a tier 2 city in UP, earning 1.2 LPM from my job and an additional 0.4 LPM through freelancing (total 1.6 LPM). My wife also works remotely for an MNC. While our current setup is financially advantageous, my professional growth has stagnated as my company offers limited learning opportunities. I'm considering on-site positions with promising startups, but relocating would substantially increase my expenses through rent and commuting costs, potentially consuming a large portion of my salary. Should I prioritize career growth and learning by taking a WFO position despite the financial trade-offs, or maintain my current remote arrangement with its financial benefits but limited professional development?" My total expenses for a month doesn't exceeds 20k

Interesting to know your YOE, Level at Amazon and if possible your age?

What is the freelancing job that you do?

I am doing web dev + blockchain from past 5years.

Keep it up!
You mentioned 2 totally different things that you want to try out - 1. WFO 2. Startups . I won't tell you the upsides because you already know about that. But I'll tell you the downsides. The downside of working from office is - you won't get much time to upskill yourself , even on weekends you'd feel tired and you'd rather spend that time relaxing. The downside of working for a startup is - you'll be compromising your mental peace.

Agreed.

Great you saving 1.4 lac or investing
